We are the birthplace of Robert Johnson and the Blues.

He and many other locally known artist from the state are showcased in the Mississippi Music Museum located in the former train depot downtown. Visitors from all over the world come to Mississippi to enjoy all the we have to offer. The museum is a must see for visitors during their time in our town. Along with many other events, the Mississippi Music Museum is also the site of the annual Rockin’ Railroad Festival which features all genres of live music including Gospel, Blues and Rock and Roll.
